What this site stores itself
The melody guestbook
If you leave a tune on the home page, the site stores: the eight notes you chose, the time you left it, and the two-letter country code that Cloudflare attaches to the request (for example JP). It never stores your name, your IP address or your city. Tunes are shown publicly to other visitors.
To stop the same person posting many tunes in a row, the site keeps a one-way hash of your IP address for 60 seconds after you post, then deletes it automatically. The hash can't be turned back into your address.
No analytics, no accounts
There is no analytics script, no sign-up and no newsletter on this site. The fonts are served from this domain, so loading a page doesn't contact a font service.
Hosting logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Pages here link to other sites, such as GitHub and Tunepick. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them; you may see less relevant ads.
- If you left a tune and want it removed, get in touch through the contact page with roughly when you left it and what it sounded like, and I'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
